Axis is expanding its worldwide sales and marketing organization to help meet growing market demand. To strengthen our team in Middle Europe, we are currently looking to hire a Business Development Manager A&E (Architects and Engineers), with responsibility for the Belgium and Luxembourg markets.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Your job will be to develop and implement the defined A&E strategy in Belgium and Luxembourg. To do this, you will have to develop strong, long lasting, relationships with key consultants in the region. You will make sure that the consultants are always up to date regarding Axis technological developments and support them in choosing the best suitable Axis solution for their projects.

To become successful in your role, you will work closely to your colleagues in the regional sales team.

Furthermore, your tasks will be to:

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of new opportunities and interact with stakeholders to ensure success win projects
  • Run events and seminars to recruit new consultants and educate them on Axis’ solutions
  • Perform lobbying in interest groups and create key note speaking opportunities
  • Manage end-user contacts/projects outside of Axis’ core industry segments
  • Make Axis the preferred camera vendor for consultants

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You have several years of experience from the sales, or business development field, have a high knowledge and interest in sales and have a proven track record of working with the consultant community. Experience from the physical security field or IT is a must. You may have had a similar role, either working within Sales or Business Development. You are strategic and can influence others through your activity. You are a team player and communicate well with others and can initiate new discussions and build strategic relationships with potential partners on multiple levels with an organization.

To thrive in the position, you need to be passionate about what you do and be proactive and independent in thoughts and actions, as well as a very good communicator. You are well structured and able to explain complex matters in an easy way. Transparency in your role is a key component for long term success. Fluent in French, Dutch and English (both written and spoken) is required, speaking the German language would be a benefit.

Job qualifications:

  • Experienced and analytical Business Development Manager
  • 5-10 years of experience in Sales or Business Development
  • Proven experience of successfully specifying projects with consultants
  • International work experience
  • High level of energy and integrity
  • Successfully developed projects with end users in different vertical markets
  • Team player and good communicator/presenter
