BigTec, the datacentre transformation division from Exclusive Networks announced that it has added Avi Networks, the leader in next-generation application delivery and services to its portfolio of disruptive vendor technologies.

The innovative Silicon Valley based vendor uses unique software defined principles in its Avi Vantage Platform – a next generation Application Delivery Controller (ADC) that goes beyond load balancing to dramatically improve speed of application rollouts, resource efficiency, and visibility. This chimes with the BigTec vision of hybrid cloud datacentres, where network functions can be orchestrated and virtualised as easily as memory, CPU and storage.  BigTec is targeting an initial group of focused partners to be provided technical and marketing support to pursue high margin enterprise opportunities that displace legacy infrastructure and steal a march on ADC competitors.

Partners exploring the Avi Vantage Platform find a revolutionary product that enables customers to deploy application delivery services in minutes rather than weeks. The solution is fully automated through 100% RESTful APIs and can run on commodity X86 servers, lowering the average TCO for application delivery by more than 70% in many cases. The platform additionally provides unprecedented end-to-end visibility and client and transactional intelligence through its rich analytics capabilities. Avi Vantage can run in any private (OpenStack, VMware, SDN) cloud or public cloud on any VM or bare metal server.  Avi Networks provides a subscription based licensing model that eliminates huge capital expenses and over-provisioning – it enables a pay-as-you-grow approach.

“BigTec shares our vision of the datacentre and we believe has the local relationships, skills and proven track record to fulfil our potential,” said Dirk Marichal, VP EMEA & India at Avi Networks.  “We are disrupting the application delivery and services (L4-L7) space with a completely software-defined approach that mirrors the dynamic nature of today`s computing in datacentres and public clouds.  Legacy players have not innovated in the last five years and, as a result, channel partners have big difficulties coping with their customers’ changing IT needs.  With the backing of BigTec, the stage is set for a significant market migration as customers leverage our technology to face down challenges like: delivering applications in hybrid environments, using real time analytics to troubleshoot network problems, and setting up self-service environments for test and DevOps teams.”
